Like a Web Page that's a little different from the rest?
You can even watch it being built!

It's almost commonplace these days to get yourself out there in the form of a 'Website' and if you don't have one, it's a little akin to not having a mobile phone or a computer. Personal or business web pages are simply a part of our life now and an incredibly powerful tool from a business and social perspective.

But if your tired of the same old clinical, mass produced product, then you might consider a site that allows you to express your unique individuality. A site that is precisely and meticulously hand crafted, catering to all your specialised needs.

Watching your site being built is cost effective...

You will be supplied with your own unique web address right from day 1 enabling you to conveniently supervise the building of your new site (in real time) from your personal computer. - (no waiting to see the end result)

BONUS: If you'd like to make any changes along the way the process is quick, cost effective and the advantages are clear, especially in the early stages. Any changes made once the build has been completed, is usually more complex and time consuming.

I think it's fair to say that we all have unique and varied tastes in websites and idea's can change overnight, so isn't it comforting to know that you have that added control over the end result of your project, minimizing any re-do time once the site has been completed.

So, how much does a website cost?

There are three main costs involved in setting up a website:

Domain name

A domain name is your unique address on the Internet. The name must comply with certain rules, particularly if registering a “.com.au” domain name.

It will cost $88 for a "www.yourbusiness.com.au" name for two years.

Hosting

Website hosting can be described as ‘renting a bit of space on the internet'. Your website sits in that space so that it is accessible to the Internet audience. Depending on the technology required for your site, hosting will cost somewhere between $165 per year for most sites - up to $300 per year for more complex sites where large amounts of downloading will often occur.

The Site build

"How much does a website cost to create?" - is probably the most frequently asked question we get.
The easiest way to answer the question is, that it's allot like building a house.

Can you imagine going to a builder and asking, "How much does a house cost?" He would then ask you "How many rooms?" "Single or double storey?" "Brick or weatherboard?" "Would you like an outdoor entertaining area?" "Would you like an indoor swimming pool?"

"Do you want gold plated taps, or is stainless steel ok?"

"Do you want Italian marble floors, or would you prefer vinyl?"

You get the picture!

In other words, it's impossible for the builder to say how much it costs to build a house until he knows what the requirements are. Sometimes the builder might offer house and land packages that come with a list of standard inclusions. There will be a set price and any variations to the package will cost extra.

There are many variables that can affect the cost of your website, but below you will find a starting point for each of our solutions.

Budget Starter Page

If your new to the whole web thing and are a little unsure as to how to get started, you might consider a single budget starter page to get you out there quickly. This is a low cost approach with the ability to seamlessly add pages later as your individual needs dictate.

Business or Personal

You already have an understanding of the process and what is required. You want a specific look and feel to your site and you have all the necessary graphics and text ready to go. You require 2-4 pages that's aesthetically pleasing and is going to express, sell and exude the reason for your existence.

Custom / Professional Design

You've done your homework and you've got a look in mind that is going to be personalised and uniquely you. You might need 4-10 pages, possibly more and you know it's going to take time and it's got to be perfect. During the design process, you'll be provided with a private "web address" so you can view the site as it's being constructed in real time. I rarely take on any other projects whilst I'm building a page of this standard. I'll be in regular contact with you advising you of any changes and to simply make sure that you're pleased with the way things are going.

For some of you this can all appear to be a complex and intimidating process, but rest assured,
your complete satisfaction is my only concern and no matter what level of understanding you
have in regards to web design, I will walk you through it step-by-step and in no time whatsoever
you'll find yourself becoming very excited about your new creation.

We'll put the kettle on, have a good ol' chat about what you'd like and then simply make it happen ...

( I can also look after and maintain your existing web site at a pinch )

Warmest regards ... Peter Prideaux
