A gentleman by the name Geoff looked after us and was was most helpful. Once we'd made our decision on a particular recliner, we asked the all-important question, "How much does it cost". The figure he quoted (which by the way included free delivery) was easily the most competitive price we'd come across having already done quite a bit of research in Hervey Bay. So as I do on this page, if somebody gives me good deal, I'll pass the word around. I thoroughly recommend Dick Elmer's Furniture. |

I think we're all familiar with that horrible gut feeling you
get when you go to start your car, and
it doesn't ... Your head
drops down as you sigh in frustration. This is quite often
followed by a variety of verbal expletives mumbled under your
breath. You have no idea what the problem is apart from the fact
that it's more that likely electrical - and all you want to happen
from that point onward is for someone to take control and fix
the dam thing - A.S.A.P. - Well that's exactly what happened
to me just recently, so trust me, I know. Anyway,
the guys at "Hervey Bay Auto
Electrix" had been recommended to me, so I
gave them a call. They had me up, running and smiling within the
hour and their rates didn't break the bank either, which was a
refreshing change. |

All Sea Dogs Ahoy, Hervey Bay - Our arrival in Hervey Bay by - Peter Prideaux
... My wife and I decided to move to Hervey Bay and find a nice home to settle in, but as we have Max, ( a small Maltese poodle cross ) we had to find pet friendly accommodation in the interim period. We were pleased when we found this family owned pet friendly home on the Internet. I spoke with both Carrie and Chris ( the custodians of this little gem ) a few times prior to our arrival and they were both friendly and extremely helpful. It was night when we arrived and having driven for 12 hours straight from Airlie Beach, we were absolutely exhausted. Once we arrived at the house, we drove into a delightfully spacious carport and pulled up right next to the front door. We proceeded to pour our disheveled bodies out of the car and took a few moments to stretch out before going inside. The house seemed to be waiting for us as we gingerly eased ourselves inside. I could hear the gentle purr of the air conditioner running, the TV was on low in the corner and the soft lighting was emitting a welcoming glow. I took a few moments inspecting the interior and with absolute delight I recall looking at my wife and saying, "I had no idea this place would be so nice" and she readily agreed! Shortly after we'd unloaded the car, we were greeted by Carrie and Chris. Carrie mentioned that she'd put dinner in the fridge for us to re-heat having felt that we'd probably be hungry after our long trip ( WOW ). Clearly this couple make it their business to look after their guests. The thought, preparation and consideration at so many levels could not be ignored. I give my personal recommendation to anyone with or without a dog to consider staying at "All Sea Dogs Ahoy" a most refreshing experience in quality and hospitality. |
